CIFF 2013 Audience Choice & Discovery Awards Winners

This year's Calgary International Film Festival has come to an end and I'm happy to be here at the awards announcement event at Downtownfood. Steve Schroeder, Executive Director of CIFF, starts by sharing with us some numbers from this year's festival. It has been a spectacular year and here are the numbers to prove it.

Audience - 4% increase from 2012. Previous year was 6% from 2011
Film Screenings - 191 compared to last year's 178
Submissions - Over 60% increase submitted to CIFF 2013
Social Media - 64% increase in Twitter engagement
Cast Ballots - 12,000!! Last year had 9,000
