Not a Movie Snob - POTW: The Hateful Eight

Oh lordy. Lordy, lordy, lordy. Quentin Tarantino is already at it again, and it's another western. The only thing better than QT making one western is QT making another one.

Truthfully, the news of this new venture is nothing new. There was a big hubbub in the film community last year when Tarantino's script for the new flick was leaked online by some unscrupulous source. Initially, Tarantino (understandably) had a hissy and said he's not making the movie now that the story's out in the open. But apparently he's gotten over it (or revamped the original script) and the Weinstein Company is laying the advanced buzz on thick with posters, TV spots and even a teaser that's running ahead of Quentin's pal Robert Rodriguez's new Sin City flick. Very thick, considering he hasn't even shot a frame of film yet. But who cares, if there's one filmmaker who can start lathering on the hype a full year ahead of release and get away with it, it's Tino.

And I just love this poster. Minimalist. Bloody. Snowy. Dark. Intriguing. And all of it in 'Super Cinemascope'. Delicious.
