The 18th Calgary International Film Festival (Calgary Film) takes place from September 20 to October 01, 2017.

The Calgary International Film Festival is a 12-day showcase of up to 200 multi-genre feature and short films from Canada and over 40 other countries. The festival hosts gala events, screenings, special presentations, and a Behind the Screen series that emphasizes unique and exciting ways for filmmakers and fans to interact. Calgary Film is now the largest film festival in Alberta, and is the sixth largest in Canada.

A vibrant celebration of Indigenous Canadian musicians - watch a music revolution happen right before your eyes. Co-presented with Movie Nights Across Canada, the festival's marquee event will include a pre-reception (VIP tickets only), a film screening, and live performances by Indigenous musicians including IsKwé.

LA LA LAND IN CONCERT

We're partnering with the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra for a presentation of the film LA LA LAND, as the score is performed live by the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra. Experience the whimsical, award-winning film in an incredibly unique way.

NO ROADS IN + Performance with the Black Reid Band
Special Presentation at Studio Bell, home of the National Music Centre
ADVANCE TICKETS TO THE STUDIO BELL EVENT ARE SOLD OUT
Following a presentation of the Alberta film NO ROADS IN at Studio Bell, The Blake Reid Band will perform songs from the documentary in an immersive musical performance.
Tickets for the presentation of NO ROADS IN at Globe Cinema on September 29 (no musical performance) are now available.

LUNCHTIME SHORTS
Special Lunchtime Screening presented by Lexus at The Palace Theatre

Join us for a lunchtime screening of short films that will give you a taste of the festival's acclaimed shorts program. These crowd-pleasing shorts from around the world will make you laugh, take you in unexpected directions, and have you back at your desk 60 minutes later. We will be hosting one last party at Sub Rosa, an underground hidden gem of Calgary's downtown, beneath the heritage building at the corner of 8th Ave & 1st St SW. There, we will be announcing all of this year's juried and audience award winners - 12 in total, including our new $10,000 Best Canadian Narrative Feature award.
