5th Annual Terror Challenge Showcase!

Calgary’s First and Only 48 Hour Horror Film Challenge

We're bringing you Calgary's local amateur and indie filmmakers to the big screen with the short horror movies that they've created in just 48 hours! Join us on Friday October 27th, 2017 at the Globe Cinema to see these wicked short horror movies and be sure to vote for your favorite one! Oh, and don't forget to enjoy some of the best popcorn in the city!

Teams, made up of local amateur and indie filmmakers, are given 48 hours to write, shoot, and edit their very own short horror movie. Teams are required to integrate three elements into their horror movie. These elements can include anything from a specific prop, line of dialogue, film genre, or character type.

The final films are brought together for our annual Terror Challenge Showcase and award ceremony. Prizes are awarded to First Place, Second Place, as well as the Audience Choice selection.

This is an 18+ event. ID may be requested at the door.
