CalgaryVegan and VegFest Calgary are excited to collaborate on the Calgary premiere of the film “The Age of Beasts.” This haunting and powerful expose of the Canadian meat and related industries provokes questions about our relationships with nonhuman animals and inspires us to act mindfully and compassionately in all our interactions.

From Montreal producer and director Francois Primeau, the film features exclusive footage from activists, and never before seen interviews with Carol Adams (author of “The Sexual Politics of Meat) and Anita Krajnc (activist charged for giving water to thirsty pigs). For this event, we are pleased to also offer a private question and answer session over Skype with the producer, which will occur after the screening.

For tickets, we offer a sliding scale admission fee, with a recommended donation of $10. Ticket sales will be split with CalgaryVegan, VegFest Calgary, and the producer, and will help put on more community events in the future!
