Wine plays an important part in cultures all over the world, and Hollywood is no exception. Wine has been a focus of filmmakers since the early days of cinema. After all: wine, popcorn, and a good movie make for a perfect Saturday night in (or Tuesday, for that matter).
Although the perennial wine-centric film Sideways is great (and definitely worth a few repeat viewings) there are a whole library of films and documentaries about wine that explore why we love it so much. We will watch some of the most famous movie scenes that feature wine, while actually sampling some tasty vino.
