The event will begin at 5 p.m. with an open house in the lobby, with booths for Plastic Free YYC, the City of Calgary’s Waste and Recycling team, and a few other special guests, including a performance art piece.
At 6 pm, join us for lightning talks focused on reducing single-use plastic locally and on a larger scale, by people doing research and grassroots work on waste reduction.
Plastic Paradise, a documentary film focused on the harmful effects of ocean plastics, will begin at 7:00 p.m. Please note the film is PG-13.
