PERSPECTIVES: No Two People See The Same Film

Perspective means a way of regarding situations, topics, people, sensations etc. Its Latin root means "to look through" or "to perceive." For ten days, nearly 40 filmmakers will expose you to their perspectives. You will see queerness through the eyes of another and no two people will see the same film.

We are proud to be the third-largest 2SLGBTQ+ Film Festival in Canada, and one of few operating on the prairies! Our innovative approach launches film into the lived experience through events designed to engage the community in shared experiences and stories. The 23rd Annual Festival takes place May 21st – 30th, 2021.

We are planning to have the festival be in a digital format just like the 2020 festival. If regulations and guidelines permit we may have some in-person events and screenings.

The 2021 festival will take place online at Xerb TV. In-person events may be possible but for now online it is.

For 23 years Fairy Tales has been bringing you stories you can't find anywhere else. Stories written, directed, produced and starred in by LGBTQ2S+ persons from around the world.
