Calgary European Film Festival (CEFF) invites movie lovers to the best of European cinema.

The Second Edition of the Calgary European Film Festival will take place November 15-17, at the Globe Cinema, with five European countries bringing the exquisite art of European cinema to Calgary.

Bulgaria, Romania, France, Poland, and the Czech Republic will be represented this year throughout the three day event. The cinemas in these countries gained a lot of recognition during the last few years, because of the award-winning young directors representing the new wave. This year the festival is organized through a partnership between the Romanian Canadian Cultural Association of Calgary (RCCAC), Calgary Bulgarian Society (CBS), cIneMAGINE Society and Alliance Française de Calgary, Polish Canadian Cultural Centre and Czech Business Association of Canada. This festival has started two years ago, as the Calgary Romanian Film Festival.

“For the second year, Calgary European Film Festival will present a collection of extraordinary movies, unique films that bring multicultural flavor and values. We hope that movie lovers in Calgary will be joining us in applauding the European cinema for three days in November, at the Globe Cinema, as a tribute to arts and heritage’’, says Mariet Mintchev, the representative of the Calgary Bulgarian Society.

Tickets are $10 per movie, per person, and Festival Pass for 7 movies is only $50. A Wrap-Up gala will be held on Sunday, November 17. Fans can also purchase a combo weekend pass.
