From the beloved novels by Michael Bond and producer David Heyman (HARRY POTTER), PADDINGTON tells the story of the comic misadventures of a young Peruvian bear (voiced by Firth) who travels to the city in search of a home. Finding himself lost and alone, he begins to realize that city life is not all he had imagined - until he meets the kindly Brown family who read the label around his neck that says "Please look after this bear. Thank you," and offer him a temporary haven. It looks as though his luck has changed until this rarest of bears catches the eye of a museum taxidermist.
Canyon Meadows Cinemas is commencing a series of Saturday morning screenings for families affected by autism. We plan to offer once per month a dedicated screening of a children's film that will provide a special opportunity for families to enjoy their movies in a safe and accepting environment.
What makes the screening autism friendly?
- Lights will be at medium-low level
- Sound volume will be low
- Tickets may be purchased in advance at the theatre for patrons who don't wish to face a possible line-up
- There will be no trailers at the beginning of the film
- Patrons are encouraged to make noise or move around (under supervision) if they wish
