La Vie Commence Demain (Life Begins Tomorrow) Dir. Nicole Vedres, 1952

Made in cooperation with UNESCO, Nicole Vedres’ semi-fictional documentary speculates on the future of mankind after the atomic age. Many prominent French artists and intellects are featured as narrators, including: Jean-Pierre Aumont, Andre Labarthe, Jean-Paul Sartre, Daniel Agache, Jean Rostand, Le Corbusier, Pablo Picasso and Andre Gide. Film clips of hospitals, schoolrooms, scientific laboratories, and even nightclubs are woven into Vedre's fascinating tapestry.
