Tis the season pals! let's end 2014 with a bang and have a party that'll make baby Jesus proud. On Dec 19th we're showing the classic, the all time TBS rerun yuletide gem HOME ALONE.
"An 8-year-old boy who is accidentally left behind while his family flies to France for Christmas must defend his home against idiotic burglars." That's it in a nutshell but we all know there's so much more beauty to it than that.
As always, this will be a special licensed screening (and thus 18+ only, sorry kiddies) we'll have a selection of delicious beers for sale the in the lobby but ALSO A SPECIAL THEME DRINK OF RUM & EGG NOG!!!
Before the movie you'll be treated to a special musical performance from one of Calgary's finest bands. Synth punkers CATHOLIC GIRLS.

The evening's festivities will be hosted by Calgary's own lmprov fanatics The Kinkonauts! prepare to be dazzled by their hilarious antics and mind bending challenges. Past highlights include a hard boiled egg race through the theatre, Arnold Schwarzenegger impersonation contests, and life sized rock em sock em robots. One can only guess what they have up their sleeve this time.
More hot news pals. We'll have our own Santa roaming the theatre with a sack full of rad prizes to give to people in their best (worst) Christmas sweater! so be sure to show up looking as joyous as possible.

FIFTH REEL HOUSE RULES:
Audience participation and dressing up is always encouraged. I expect to see some truly hideous Christmas sweaters for this one, who knows you may even get a special prize or two.....
Yelling, cheering, jeering, quote a long. are all also highly encouraged. Past screenings have been as loud and as rowdy as the last house party you've been to. The Fifth Reel is an interactive movie going experience, the audience makes the fun. If you expect to sit on your hands in silence for two hours then this might not be for you...
