The strained relationship between a pawnbroker and his young bride portrays the emotional torment of Sri Lanka's two major communities: the Tamils and the Sinhalese in the aftermath of a protracted bloody civil war. Will love be able to heal and bring them together?

This film challenges our cross-cultural perceptions of what it means to be differently abled. Kalki (Laila) dazzles with moments of quiet self-discovery and first love, unbound by ability and difference.

Sunday, June 7, 2015 @ 2:30 PM: Citylights
2014 | Hindi | 126 mins | Director: Hansal Mehta

Ever-tempting lure of Metropolis to the innocents, arriving from countryside has been a staple diet of Indian cinema for eons. But this is not a typical repeat performance. The film will leave you troubled and make you think as it reflects on the times we live in.

Sunday, June 7, 2015 @ 6:30 PM: Chotoder Chobi (a "Short" story)
2015 | Bengali | 120 minutes | Director:Kaushik Ganguli

The film is about the lives and sentiments of the little people who work as jokers in Indian circuses providing comic relief to the audiences in between the main acts. It's a tussle between two perspectives - the world's indifference to them, and how they look at the world. Woven in it is an intense but almost unspoken love story that highlights the anguish of these people in a world surrounded by poverty and ridicule.
