Calgary
The 24 Hour Film Race 2012 will be challenging filmmakers everywhere to create short films in just 24 hours from May 18-19 and Calgary is a participating city in the competition! Calgary will have its own premiere screening and competition to decide which films will go up against other top 24 hour films from around the world.
How Calgary Works
Participation in the 24 Hour Film Race 2012 is free, but teams that would like to be considered for the premiere screening and awards in Calgary need to pay the Calgary Sceening & Competition Fee of US$35 on the registration page. If your film is selected as a top film in Calgary, it will premiere on the big screen for the public and will be competing for additional prizes and awards. Space is limited though, so make sure to register soon!
Calgary Prizes:
In addition to any prizes that are secured, the following awards will be given to the top films in Calgary: Best Film, Best Direction, Best Writing, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Acting Ensemble, Best Cinematography, Best Editing, Best Original Music Score, Best Sound Design, Best Animation, Best Visual FX, Best Special FX, Best Costume Design, and Best Make-Up.
