Sled Island Film is entering its fourth year! The film program runs before all of the great music from June 18 – 20, 2012. Admission is included with Discovery and Plus passes, so be sure to pick your passes up early.
This year we have a selection of music docs exploring the LA riots through Hip Hop, getting to know the Archers of Loaf up close and personal, the roots of the Vancouver punk scene (with special guest panel discussion), and the story of Toronto’s original Riot grrrls, Fifth Column. The feature documentary Just Like Being There exposes the rich and vibrant world of gig poster art and Lost and Sound will show you how passion for music transcends loss of hearing. Plus shorts, experimental feature The Great Northwest, and a late night outdoor Classic Film screening with CSIF.
Sled Island Festival Discovery and Plus Passes allow entry to all Sled Island Film events. All events at The Hifi Club are 18+ (valid id required), individual tickets available at the door: $9.00 adult, $7.00 student/senior (valid id required)
Events at the Cliff Bungalow-Mission Community Association and CSIF are either free or by donation, please check listings.
