CALGARY FILM RACE SCREENING JUNE 27
It seems only fitting that 24 teams will screen their films for the 24-hour
Calgary Film Race screening and awards night at the Plaza Theatre on
June 27.
The Calgary filmmakers will be vying for some top prizes, including acting
sessions from Company of Rogues Actor’s Studio, an equipment rental
package from William F. White and animation lessons from Quickdraw
Animation.
On the May 18-19 weekend teams of filmmakers were tasked with making
a short film in 24 hours. They were given a theme, an object and an action
to create their film around.
The public is welcome. Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door.

The top Calgary film will then move on to New York and go up against
the top 23 films from around the world. The top film in New York will win
$10,000 along with several other prizes.
