Motherland

The Motherland—the African continent—is considered to be the birthplace of humanity. More than one million people of African descent call Canada home. With minimal media representation, many stories of descendants of Africa remain untold.

Motherland is a documentary TV series celebrating elements of Pan-African culture, including: food, music, fashion, stories, and entertainment. As an Afro-Canadian, it can prove challenging to find a platform rich of practical information, entertainment, and relevant cultural roots.
