Join JFP Calgary for our second mini-film festival, featuring 3 thoughtfully selected films. Three films in total will be playing and you have the option of attending for all three, or just one of them that looks interesting. This is the schedule we have lined up:

1:00pm On The Side of the Road (2013 | 83 min)
“Explores the collective amnesia in Israeli Society about the mass expulsion of Palestinians leading up to and following the creation of the Israeli state.” Director Lia Tarachansky joins us by Skype for Q&A.

3:10pm The Fading Valley (2013 | 54 min)
“Dispossession and Exploitation: Israel’s Policy in the Jordan Valley”. The Fading Valley brings first hand stories of the Jordan Valley farmers who have become illegal residents of their own land.

4:15pm The Great Book Robbery (2012 | 57 min)
The Great Book Robbery tells the story of the systematic looting of 70,000 Palestinian books in 1948 in a joint operation by the Haganah- what became the Israeli army- and the Israeli national library.

Each of the films will be followed by a brief discussion and break. As always, admission and our very popular pop-corn are free! And donations are welcome. We hope to see you there.
