The filmmaking team behind the 2009 Academy Award® winning documentary THE COVE is back with RACING EXTINCTION, an exploration of endangered species and the seemingly imminent mass extinction many of them are facing.

Using powerful visuals and undercover filming techniques, the second environmental doc by Director Louie Psihoyos and the Oceanic Preservation Society (OPS) exposes the illegal animal trade and the urgency of taking action against climate change.

Through art and activism, the era of Anthropocene (the “Age of Man”) is explored with a specific focus on baby boomers, as evidence shows how quickly this particular generation has set the planet on the path of destruction.

Advocating that we’re the only generation left that can save the planet, the documentary finds new ways to get people to care about an issue that too often falls on exhausted ears.

Covering everything from the simplicity of changing your diet to save the planet, to the role that battery powered cars can play in reducing carbon emissions, RACING EXTINCTION doesn’t just focus on one issue but offers practical solutions to fight the problem on all fronts.
