This movie is based on a series of books has the same name by Stephen King. This movie features superstars like Idris Elba and Matthew McConaughey. The Dark Tower's story revolves around Roland deschain the last knight in the world whose weapon is a pair of guns. His world is coming apart and decaying, and the only way to save it is to reach the dark tower where the time and space meet. The Dark Tower's Locations Principal photography started in South Africa in April 2016, then in New York City. Some websites in June 2, 2015, said that the production company Sony Pictures Entertainment is going to choose Nikolaj Arcel to be the director of the movie. He agreed and signed with Sony Pictures Entertainment on July 10, 2015. He was tasked to rewrite the plot with Anders Thomas Jensen. Sony Pictures Entertainment said that the movie will be shown in the United States of America on January 13, 2017. In November 2015, Matthew McConaughey joined the cast to play the role of the Man in Black.
